Sugar River Reports

May 30, 2008. On Friday, several Monadnock TU members began fishing the Sugar in preparation for the 3rd Annual Campout. Conditions were quiet in the afternoon, but picked up in the evening with Tal and Brad each catching several rainbows. Hatches were prolific, with water temps around 60°

May 17, 2008. Went to the Sugar River on Saturday. Fished 2 hours in the middle of the afternoon. 1 small rainbow, several strikes. Water temp 58°. Small sulphurs, brown stoneflies, lots of midges coming off. Not much rising

Deerfield River Reports
Sunday, May 25, 2008. First trip to the Deerfield. Beautiful day. Sunny. Low, clear, water. 51°. Fished from 6:30 am until 11:00. Nary a bite. Did see one rising teeny fish, but overall very sparse. Water too cold? Too sunny? Bad year?
